Budgie loves his activity center!,
My English Budgie (parakeet) LOVES this thing. He enjoys all the toys; hops from perch to perch. You can rearrange them to suit your bird. I tied leather strips to it and he loves to chew on them too, a good little addition. As for whole contraption, It’s pretty big; the base is the about size of a the chip part of a chip and dip bowl. The middle post (eyeballing it) is about 15 inches tall. It’s pretty easy to put together. The perches could FEEL sturdier but it is a tight fit. I was nervous at first that it would fall over, but nothing is going anywhere. Nothing ever fell off or anything, but when he gets super nuts the perches shake quite a bit. Still, it stays pretty neat. All his feathers and shells go into the green bin. Despite the fact that I wish it was a little sturdier, I would buy it again b/c he loves it so much and it’s sturdy enough. He’ll play on that thing for however long I leave him out of his cage. It’s his home away from his cage!

|Lovebirds are in Love,
We are caring for a pair of Lovebirds that were shelter rescues. One was very plucked by her mate and cannot fly and tends to fall. They both love this activity center but she is doing very well navigating it with her disability. She is growing back her feathers and seems to be enjoying her out of cage time. I actually found it fairly sturdy. For small birds it works good and seems to have enough going on to keep them interested. I cannot imagine a better little set up for budgies, lovebirds and cockatiels. There are also enough places to attach other toys to expand it.
As with anything new introduction should be slow. Put play stand in view but away from cage for a week or two then gradually move it closer. Once it is next to the cage then allow them to use it by coming out of cage on own and climbing down to play center. If the first reaction is strong or you have a single shy bird I would only put a couple of toys on to start and a a new one each week.

|great parrot play area,
Great little parrot play area. My parrot loves to climb all over it and plays with the included toys.
Easy to take outside and hose down to clean.
I’ve also put a half-inch of water in the bottom, and my parrot climbed into it and happily pushed herself around in it taking a bath.
UPDATE: a couple months later and it’s still a favorite of hers. She’s now very adept and climbs all over it, hangs upside down, and does all kinds of contortions to play with the hanging toys. She especially loves the little hanging bell and the ferris wheel thing.
To the people who say it’s flimsy, it’s stood up to a lot of abuse just fine. Also, it might shake a bit, but birds are used to flimsy tree branches that sway in the wind and under their weight, and this is just more of the same.
Also, droppings and most food falls to the bottom to be captured. I usually make the food cups the lowest level.
